Product Description
Warm spice and steamed milk, like your favorite chai.
Hand-poured in a soy and paraffin wax blend. Choose a 6 oz tin or a 10 oz lidded jar.
Masala Chai, Properly
Chai simply means tea, but masala chai, spiced tea simmered with milk, has been made on Indian stovetops and railway platforms for over a century, each chaiwala guarding a spice blend of their own.
You'll need:
2 cups water, 1 cup whole milk
2 tbsp loose black tea (Assam)
4 green cardamom pods, 2 cloves, 1 cinnamon stick
A few slices of fresh ginger
Sugar to taste
Crush the spices, simmer them in the water for five minutes, add tea and ginger for two more, then milk and sugar. Bring it just to a rolling boil, strain into cups, and drink it hot.
