Gin Fizz

- botanic gin
Product Description
Bright, botanical, endlessly refreshing. Born in the fizz houses of the 1800s and kept alive through a century of long afternoons, the Gin Fizz is the cocktail that never stopped feeling modern. We’ve captured its lift with notes of elderflower, cucumber, and botanic gin.
The Gin Fizz
The fizz family dates to the 1800s, and the Gin Fizz is its clearest expression: gin, lemon, sugar and soda, shaken cold and lengthened at the last moment. Jerry Thomas printed a version in his 1876 bartender's guide. New Orleans later gilded it into the Ramos, but the original needs nothing added.
You'll need:
2 oz gin
1 oz fresh lemon juice
0.75 oz simple syrup
Soda water
Shake the gin, lemon and syrup hard with ice, strain into a tall glass over fresh ice, and top with soda.
